Blargh

Well, it’s official: I’ve not blogged in nearly a week. I guess there has been a lot going on. I had two exams and a major paper due last week. Things were quite hectic.

Good news, we’re going to buy some furniture from some friends of ours. They’re giving us a REALLY good deal on it and it’s only a year old. I’m totally excited. We’re probably going to go pick it up in a few weeks.

Also, I’m going to go down to check out UNLV in the next few weeks. I’m pretty excited about it. As much as I miss SLC and my family there, I’m leaning very much towards Las Vegas. I can finish my degree a full semester quicker there than at the U AND we’ve already found decent housing there. Our friends Chris and Marta are totally helping us out. They spent Saturday looking for housing for us, which we totally didn’t even expect them to do. They’ve really been so good to us.

Corinne is leaving today to go to SLC for a few days. What ever will I do?

The baby has been doing a better. She’s so cute. She does cry a LOT when she’s not being held, standing up or being walked around. Needless to say, after a week like last week, the last thing I wanted to do over the weekend was walk around with the baby in my arms. She wouldn’t even sit still and relax with me. It was quite frustrating.

Homework Is Just No Fun

So, I spent tons of time doing homework this weekend, which is unusual for me. I’m usually the type to just get it done on Sunday night; however, I had an inordinate amount of it this weekend. This next week is going to be very stressfull and I’m not looking forward to it. Needless to say, I’ll be glad when it’s done.

I have a biology test to take, a “placement test” (which I SHOULD have taken when I enrolled at Dixie), and then a Major paper (worth 1/3 of my grade) due this week. It never ceases does it?

Cloves….MMMMMMMM

OK, so I’m not that old. However, I am old enough to remember Clove gum being “re-released” when I was a kid. I also remember, though I fret to admit this, smoking clove cigarettes one after another when I was just beginning to go against my better judgement. It was cool I guess.

Anyway, I’m in the Maverick this morning and what is sitting right next to the register? Yummy Clove Chewing Gum! I picked a pack up. I’m now chomping on a stick and it’s bringing back some funny memories.

I talked to my brother Robert last night. Thigns seem to be going good for him. It makes me really sad to see how my decisions have adversely affected all of my brothers. Robert is working hard though and making OK money. He’s living with a friend of his, an older guy, and I think he’s pretty much sick of that. I think that the best thing he can do right now, is move out, get his own place, and find himself. It’s not to say that he’s lost, but I do think that he needs a little guidance right now. It makes me sometimes wish that I was back in SLC to give it to him. I have to say, that is one thing that makes me VERY much want to move to SLC to finish school.

On yet another note, I also talked to my friend Chris last night (I really did a lot of talking). He and his wife live in Las Vegas. He offered to sell me a VERY nice furniture set — complete with couches, tables, AND lamps — for just $800 dollars. They bought the set just about 2 years ago now for like $1600, so I feel like that is a really good deal. I’m going to call him this week and see what we can work out. He’s also got a NICE 60gal. acrylic fish tank that I would be glad to take off his hands, but don’t know if we can afford it. We’ll soon see I guess. If anyone wants to pitch in to “Jared, Corinne, and Milaena Really Could Use Some New Furniture Fund”, please let me know. :)

System Info

Added a System Info page. Has some basic overview of what’s happening on my box. It’s not styled like the rest of the page is, yet; it may not be. (This has been removed.)

Unique Opportunity

I had the “opportunity” today to apply my John Hancock to 300 different letters that I’m sending to customers. I just thought I’d mention this cause it wasn’t really fun. I can now sign my name with my teeth while blindfolded. :D
