It’s so hard for me me to come home on the weekends and actually get motivated to do something. I’ve found that since school has started, all I do is sit around the house all day. I don’t usually get out; it’s rough. I’m trying to get back into the church groove. Corinne and I went to a new ward two weeks ago and we’ll be going back tomorrow. I think that college wards are so much better than family wards. Frankly, I don’t know how I’m ever going to go back to a family ward when I’m done with school.
I’ve been working on a new page lately. My Boss’ church needed a redesign on their page. I started it on Monday, it’s done now…well, mostly. The regular page is www.christcommunityutah.org, but the "development" page is locate at devel.christcommunityutah.org. I’ve also been working on my father-in-laws page lately. The design on that page is finished and now I’m waiting for content. Hopefully, I’ll be doing some off hours development here soon to start pulling in a little extra dough…on the weekends of course.
I know that I’ve said this sometime before in this blog, but I just LOVE October. It is my favorite month. As of late, I’ve found myself enjoying the moment that I walk out of the library at Weber State every night. I leave at about 8:00pm and when I hit that second door, I can smell the crispness in the air. Tonight was a special treat as I caught a whiff of burning leaves upon my exit. Oh..I love October. On the way home, I found the leaves crunching underneath my feet as I walked down VanBuren Avenue to my home. I had to slow down just to enjoy the experience. Every year, I can’t wait for October to come around and it has yet to fail my expectations.
Had to get freaky last night with friends of the new girl upstairs. She decided that she was going to have a "few" friends over, and finally at 1:30, after some kid stomped down the stairs and shook the whole building, I leapt out of bed, stormed outside, and told the kid that I ever heard him do that again, I’d tear his throat out. Of course, I was much more colorful than that, but I certainly won’t repeat what I said verbatim. I was a little worked up no doubt. I talked to the landlords about it this morning and they assured me that the situation would be handled. The bad thing is, just yesterday the girl came downstairs to bring us some cookies and an apology card. I guess that didn’t last too long.
Took my sociology test today, got a 92%. Not bad, but I should have done better. I was going to take it last night, but I guess that Weber’s testing center closes at 7:00pm on Friday. What kind of joke is that? I mean, it’s a university for crap’s sake. They SHOULD be open much later. Oh well, eh?
Went to a Mac store today and picked up a replacement foot for my iBook. The store was pretty nice, the guy who helped me was pretty awesome, but the other guys that were there were jerks.
