Okay, so this site isn’t new, but it’s gonna get put to use. I’m moving over from the-fergusons.net to jaredferguson.com as my blog has become less family oriented and more of a sounding board for my life.

That being the case, you might notice a few things have changed: First, the menu up top is different. The old pages are still there, they’re just buried a level deep. Second, “gallery” has been renamed to “pics.” Third, there is a tag cloud on the sidebar now, so you can get a visual on what I write about most. I’ve gone through and tagged the last year of posts to get things rolling. Fourth, though you won’t be able to notice, the back end is cleaned up. I’ve separated my image and gallery directories for easy Wordpress updates. Fifth, I’m adding my personal resume to the site. It won’t be accessible by everyone, just those who need to see it. Sixth, Wordpress, my Wordpress plugins and theme (K2, which required a bit of CSS tweaking for my theme skin to fit), and Gallery all got updated. I’m glad to see the software is getting easier to update, this means less time for me and more frequent updates (not that you’ll notice). As far as my theme goes, it should work in I.E 6 now (not that I really care) and a few bugs got worked out.

If you had a username on the-fergusons.net, it will work here. A few readers have duplicate usernames, but probably aren’t aware of it. I don’t want to delete old ones, as I don’t want to delete the comments associated with them.
